Art History for Kids
Join us monthly for a lesson in art history geared toward elementary age kids. An artist or style of art will be introduced each month along with a project that helps kids explore the style they learned about. Hands on learning with freedom to experiment!
August’s class will involve taking a virtual tour of an art museum and choosing an artwork to recreate in their own style.
September will focus on the fauvist movement and color.
October will focus on impressionism and Claude Monet as we paint outdoors (weather permitting).
November will focus on surrealism and Salvador Dali.
December will focus on Alexander Calder and creating kinetic sculptures.
Classes will occur monthly from 1pm-3pm on the 3rd Tuesday of the month during the school year.
