Join us for a cozy Junk Journal Hangout, this time with local educator Kristine C! Use found/upcycled paper to make flaps, pockets, and envelopes to add visual interest and interactive elements and bring your journal to the next level. This is a relaxed, drop-in gathering. It’s not a class, just a creative get-together with friends, family and our community. We’ll have supplies on hand, or feel free to bring your own journal and favorite materials. No pressure, no rules.

Summer Craft Fair
The Los Alamos Arts Council’s Arts and Crafts Fair is free for visitors and fun for all ages. Nestled on the lawn east of historic Fuller Lodge, this craft fair hosted by the Los Alamos Arts Council is a perfect excuse to visit Los Alamos and to partake in the rich arts and cultural district located downtown.
If you’re a vendor looking to participate, it has come to our attention that Booth Central has begun offering optional insurance products including Refund Protection. The Los Alamos Arts Council does not endorse any of these insurance products, which appear to be offered by an external vendor. We encourage individual vendors to research any add-ons independently.

Music @ The Tub ft. Tom Andes
Tom Andes writes original story-songs about down-and-outs and dreamers, influenced by blues, traditional country, spiced up with the flavor of New Orleans R&B. He’s been a finalist in the Monsoon Music House Songwriting Contest and the Telluride Blues Challenge from the Telluride Blues and Brews Festival. His most recent release is The Ones That Brought You Home (Southern Crescent Recording Co. 2025). Tom is also an acclaimed fiction writer. In 2025, Crescent City Books published his detective novel, Wait There Till You Hear from Me. He lives in Albuquerque and performs solo, as a sideman, and a bandleader.

Summer Music @ The Tub ft. Eryn Bent
Award-winning singer-songwriter Eryn Bent brings an honest, story-driven approach to country and Americana, pairing classically trained musicianship with deeply personal songwriting. A four-time New Mexico Music Award winner, she has also earned recognition for her songwriting, performances, and production work, and was named Best Country Artist at last year's New Mexico Entertainment Awards.
Bent will be performing at the Bathtub Row Brewing Co Op Friday, July 24. Don’t miss her performance!
Summer Camp: Theater Week with Olions PERFORMANCE
Students who attended this week will show off their hard work during 1-2 short performances on Friday July 24th. More details will come soon!
Summer Camp: Theater Week with Olions!
The Los Alamos High School Olions will be providing the curriculum for this week long theater camp hosted on site at the Fuller Lodge! Openings have been added for students in 7th-12th grade! We will send information about performance times two weeks prior to the camp but please be aware that times and locations may change if weather or attendance requires it.
Students who attend this week will be working together to perform 1-2 short performances on Friday July 24th. For students who wish to be cast in roles "on stage" they will need to be in attendance all five days of camp and available during the lunch hour from 12-1PM and again during the afternoon performance from 4:30-5:30 PM. If your student cannot be available, just let us know! We will have costuming workshops, set design workshops, and plenty for them to do all week long to learn about the wonderful world of theater!
The Olions have designed their workshops to include all ages and to meet the needs of students in half-day and full day camps at LAAC, so don't worry! There are no extra signups needed.
Limited spots for 7th-12th so sign up early! Teen rates are discounted thanks to a Community Partnership.

Join us for a casual craft meetup sponsored by the Los Alamos Arts Council. We will bring fiber art supplies for those who don’t have their own but want to hang out! Free (although donations for supplies appreciated).
We will bring supplies or bring your own! Please no paints, glues, or messy crafts, our goal is to hang out, spend some time together on our hobbies, and not leave a big mess for the Tub crew.
Bathtub Row Brewing offers non-alcoholic beverages and you can bring your own food or a snack to share!

The Art of Self Stewardship with Kristine
This workshop is designed for women who are experiencing or are recovering from chronic stress and burnout to develop a practice of mindful, creative self-stewardship. Participants will create handmade journals for practicing simple art techniques and noting insights during the 4 week class, and will leave the workshop with their own mindful making kit.
Based on the work of Cynda Rushton, PhD and Roshi Joan Halifax, PhD, this series will include recognizing when our best intentions become harmful edge states, learning practices to regain and maintain energy, balance, and creativity, and connecting through sharing circles. No art experience required as we will be experimenting with simple pen line drawing and watercolor painting.
All materials will be provided. This workshop series will take place at the Fuller Lodge Art Center (2132 Central Avenue). Please note that this workshop is also in service of our instructor's degree program and some observations may appear in her final research paper.

CENTER Printing Workshop
Join CENTER at the Fuller Lodge Art Center for a statewide series of hands-on printing workshops, bringing professional printmaking practices directly to people across New Mexico.
These workshops focus on the process of creating high-quality photographic and fine art prints. Designed for photographers and artists interested in reproducing their work, creating high-quality marketing pieces, each session offers practical, hands-on experience preparing and printing images to help creative entrepreneurs across the state.
Learn the fundamentals of fine art printing
• Work with professional inkjet printers
• Create their own high-quality prints
• Have access to CENTER’s Digital Lab
Workshops are open to all experience levels and are designed to be accessible to a wide range of participants. A sliding scale materials fee of $0-40 helps cover the cost of paper and printing supplies while keeping the program accessible to all.
This series is part of CENTER’s broader effort to expand access to creative resources across New Mexico and connect artists and photographers with tools, knowledge, and community to support creative entrepreneurship.

Daytime Performance Series: Indigenous Murals of New Mexico ft. Robin Dunitz
This colorful Powerpoint presentation by Robin Dunitz will feature more than 50 murals by Indigenous artists found throughout New Mexico, from historic paintings by pioneers Pablita Velarde and Pop Chalee in Albuquerque to more contemporary work beautifying walls in cities, small towns and on tribal lands. Background information on the artists will further enrich the show. This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
About Robin Dunitz:
Robin was born and raised in Los Angeles. She received a BA in History from the University of California Berkeley in 1978. She began documenting murals in LA in 1984 after a trip to Mexico City exposed her to the famous mural masterpieces found there. She eventually wrote a guide book to LA County murals, and organized tours for 10 years for the Mural Conservancy of Los Angeles. She co-wrote two coffee table books, one on California murals and the other on African American murals nationwide with fellow photographer Jim Prigoff. They created an exhibit showcasing Black murals, which traveled to 8 venues around the country, including the Smithsonian’s Anacostia Museum. Robin moved to Albuquerque in 2021 and soon found herself photographing Indigenous murals all over New Mexico. She published a postcard book on this topic in 2022, followed by two more on Indigenous murals throughout the Southwest and beyond.
Whimsify Your Wardrobe: Teen Camp
Hannah is here with camps for incoming 7th graders through graduating seniors (2026). This week we will be whimsifying your wardrobe? What does this mean? The possibilities are endless. Bring some items to upcycle and we will glitter, paint, bedazzle, change something old into something new. This class is gender-inclusive and a fun way to spend some summer mornings with friends!

Plein Air Watercolor Adventures: Teen Camp
Hannah is here with camps for incoming 7th graders through graduating seniors (2026). Hannah will take students out doors to paint their surroundings using watercolors. Students will start each morning by meeting at the Fuller Lodge Art Center and doing a few warm up exercises before taking a stroll to various downtown locations such as Ashley Pond, The Romero Cabin Complex, PEEC Nature Center, and Bathtub Row.
Students should bring a sunscreen, a hat, and water bottle as well as a light snack and plan for short walks carrying supplies to locations around town. Students will return to the Fuller Lodge Art Center at 11:30 AM to wind down and discuss their adventures. If weather is nasty, we have indoor fun spaces to test our skills as well and students should still plan to take short walks and plan appropriately!
Each student will receive a watercolor workbook, a small watercolor kit and brush, and a sling pack to carry their items as they adventure.

Join us at Bathtub Row Brewing Co-Op for a fun, casual plein air watercolor class! We’ll be focused on florals and landscapes but mostly here to go with the flow and paint what you feel like. We will have all the supplies and a free pint for you, so just bring yourself & your creative spirit! Your registration also includes one beverage from the Tub.
